Bachelor of Education from Lee College

Welcome to Second Grade!

My name is Diane Lillard.

I have had the honor and joy of educating children for 38 years, 36 of those years have been in Bradley County.
I am married to my best friend and soulmate Gerald Lillard, a retired Bradley County educator and principal.
We have one daughter, and we have 2 wonderful grandchildren and three great grand-daughters.

I believe education is a lifelong process and I am dedicated to making this a challenging and productive year for all our children.

I believe parents want to be involved in their child's educational experiences.

One way you can do this is to set aside a few minutes each day to talk to your child about his/her day and spend quality time with your child.

I believe parents and teachers are partners in a child's education and must work together to help a child reach his/her full potential.
In order to best serve your child I need you to assist me in making this year the best and most successful one. I believe when parents participate in their child's school experience, Everyone (the child, the parent, the teacher, the school and the community) Benefits!

Your role as a parent is an important one. When you take an interest and are active in your child's education you are making an investment in a brighter future for yourself and others.
Don't let these years slip away from us. Our contributions to our children and our grandchildren could rank as our greatest accomplishments in life...OR our most oppressive failures.
It's up to you and me to make a difference in all our futures!

Every day is a new gift; we must learn to untie the ribbons!!!
